About Haishoku

A colour archive,
made wearable.

Haishoku connects Sanzo Wada’s historical combinations with your complexion and the clothes you wear now.

159Documented colours
348Historical combinations
2 to 4Colours in each plate

The combinations are historical. The order is personal.

Artist and teacher Sanzo Wada documented these colour relationships in early twentieth century Japan. Haishoku presents digital interpretations of the archive, then reorders it for the tone profile you select.

One profile.
Three clear steps.

The palettes never change. Only their order does.

01

Choose your tone.

Select it yourself or confirm the photo estimate.

02

Compare the colours.

We measure perceptual distance in OKLab, not raw RGB.

03

Rank the archive.

Plates with two, three, and four colours are balanced fairly.

This is personal styling guidance, not a rule or an objective judgment of appearance.
